Haulout, Hull Restoration, 2003

Putting a line out on the Harvey Putting a line out on the Harvey
The crew of the John J. Harvey musters for an early morning departure to escort the tug Pegasus to the shipyard in Tottenville, Staten Island. We put a line out on the Harvey to gain a few knots. We were awfully slow with a bent wheel and no water around the wheel--we’d removed a lot of ballast--more on that later.
